Nipple Surgery in Scottsdale, AZ
Conveniently located to serve Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tucson

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Deborah White offers nipple surgery in Scottsdale, providing customized, in-office procedures for inverted nipple correction and nipple reduction.
What Are Inverted Nipples?
Inverted nipples, or nipples that remain buried, can usually be corrected in a straightforward procedure under local anesthesia in our office Procedure Room. Depending on the severity of the inversion (some come out when stimulated, others won’t come out at all), they are usually corrected with a small incision at the bottom of the nipple. Protectors are worn for approximately a week after surgery. The sutures usually dissolve within two weeks. Correction of inverted nipples can permanently damage the ability to breast feed out of that nipple, and can also decrease their sensitivity, which needs to be considered when choosing this procedure.
Nipple Reduction Surgery for Women
Nipples can be too long or too wide, whether genetically or after breastfeeding. This can make it difficult to wear certain styles of clothing. This can be corrected in the office under local anesthesia. Dr. White will consult with you as to your desired size of nipple. The sutures typically dissolve in 2 weeks or so. This surgery can permanently damage the ability to breast feed out of the corrected nipple, and can also decrease its sensitivity, which needs to be considered when choosing this procedure.
Nipple Reduction Surgery for Men
Just like women, men can have nipples that are large enough to show through their clothing. It is a very straightforward procedure done using local anesthesia in our office. The sutures are dissolvable and are usually gone by about 2 weeks after surgery.
