Nose Reshaping

Conveniently located to serve Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tucson

Non-surgical nose jobPeople choose nose reshaping in Scottsdale for a number of reasons. If you feel that your nose does not fit with the rest of your face, or creates an imbalanced appearance, then you may be interested in nasal surgery. Rhinoplasty is also appropriate if the nose has been disfigured due to an injury, birth defect, or disease.

After listening to your expectations, Dr. White carefully sculpts the nose to produce a more attractive appearance that is in better proportion to the rest of your face. The result is a nose that fits your face and looks completely natural.

Your Nose Reshaping Consultation

The specific risks and the suitability of nose reshaping can be determined only during your consultation with Scottsdale plastic surgeon Dr. White. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk, but major complications are unusual.

As part of your nose job consultation, you and Dr. White will go over your complete medical history, including any past procedures, current medications, and allergies. Dr. White will examine your nose and facial structure in order to plan out the procedure.

To better understand your potential results, it will help to look over nose reshaping before and after photos, which are located in our gallery.

Dr. White will recommend specific nose reshaping techniques to achieve your aesthetic goals, and she will explain each technique in detail to ensure full understanding.

Dr. White will create the best rhinoplasty procedure plan for your needs and goals, and she will walk you through the details of the plan. This will include preparation steps, recovery directions, and the possible cost of the procedure. You can ask questions at any point during your consultation.

At the end of the consultation, a date will be set for your nose reshaping procedure.

Complementary Plastic Surgery Procedures

An additional procedure that may enhance the result of a rhinoplasty is a chin enlargement to create a more symmetrical appearance. Facial features like the chin and nose can affect the overall look of each other and the overall balance and harmony of the face.

Complementary plastic surgery procedures may be performed during the same surgical session as your nose reshaping surgery. This will depend on factors such as your general health and the exact surgeries being performed.

When complementary cosmetic procedures are conducted during a single session, only one recovery period is required, but the session itself takes longer to perform. Conversely, if the cosmetic procedures are performed in different sessions, it allows the body to recover properly before the next surgery, but multiple recovery periods are necessary.

The Nose Reshaping Procedure

Rhinoplasty is performed at the Piper Outpatient Surgical Facility in Scottsdale under general anesthesia. Once the anesthesia takes effect, incisions are created. These may be created either inside the nostrils (closed rhinoplasty) or on the columella between the nostrils (open rhinoplasty).

Next, the bones, cartilage, and/or soft tissue are altered as needed to achieve the patient’s desired results. Grafts may be placed to bolster structure and are typically created using cartilage from the septum, ear, or rib. Once all alterations have been completed, incisions are closed using sutures.

The duration of the rhinoplasty surgery will depend on the techniques involved and the amount of work required in order to achieve the patient’s aesthetic goals. Nose Reshaping Recovery

After nasal surgery, you will return home with an external cast or splint in place. Prescriptions will be given for pain-control medications and antibiotics. You must avoid performing any physical activities that could cause trauma to the nose.

The cast or splint is usually removed in 7 to 10 days. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. The majority of swelling and bruising subsides progressively over 2 to 4 weeks. External sutures (if any) are removed in 4 to 6 days, and internal sutures will dissolve.

The semifinal result of a nose reshaping procedure is evident in 3 months. The final result is evident in 12 to 14 months. If you need to improve your breathing, it may be best to also perform correction of a deviated septum (septoplasty).
