Nose Reshaping Scottsdale
People choose nasal surgery (rhinoplasty) for a number of reasons. If you feel that your nose does not fit with the rest of your face, or creates an imbalanced appearance, then you may be interested in nasal surgery. Nose reshaping is also appropriate if the nose has been disfigured due to an injury, birth defect, or disease.
After listening to your expectations, Dr. White carefully sculpts the nose to produce a more attractive appearance that is in better proportion to the rest of your face. The result is a nose that fits your face and looks completely natural.
Rhinoplasty Procedure Information
Rhinoplasty is performed at the Piper Outpatient Surgical Facility in Scottsdale under general anesthesia.
After nasal surgery, you return home with an external cast or splint in place. The cast or splint is usually removed in 7 to 10 days. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. The majority of swelling and bruising subsides progressively over 2 to 4 weeks. External sutures (if any) are removed in 4 to 6 days, and internal sutures will dissolve.
The semifinal result of a nose reshaping procedure is evident in 3 months. The final result is evident in 12 to 14 months. If you need to improve your breathing, correction of a deviated septum (septoplasty) may also be appropriate.
Complementary Plastic Surgery Procedures
An additional procedure that may enhance the result of a rhinoplasty is a chin enlargement to create a more symmetrical appearance.
Rhinoplasty is not covered by insurance if being done for cosmetic reasons.
The specific risks and the suitability of nose reshaping can be determined only during your consultation with Scottsdale plastic surgeon Dr. White. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk, but major complications are unusual.
