Botox Cosmetic Scottsdale

We used to believe that wrinkles were as certain as death and taxes, but not any more. Botox® Cosmetic, the popular fix for celebrities and everyday people alike, is now accepted as a safe, effective treatment for wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyebrows (frown lines), and in the “crow’s feet” areas of the face.

Botox Cosmetic Information

Botox Cosmetic works by weakening the muscles that surround wrinkles so that the muscles relax and the overlying skin flattens. Unlike injectable fillers such as collagen and fat transfers that fill in wrinkles or depressions, Botox Cosmetic physically weakens the muscles so that the facial skin is smoothed, relaxed, and natural looking.

Dr. White’s highly trained, licensed aesthetician, Lynda Ludwig, R.N., performs the Botox injections, carefully selecting the precise area of injection for the best results possible. Because the paralysis of the facial muscles is temporary, re-injection is usually necessary within 3 to 10 months.

Complementary Plastic Surgery Procedures

Additional procedures that may enhance the results of Botox include Brow Lift, Eyelid Lift, Facelift, or Fillers such as Restylane®.

Botox Cosmetic Injections

The specific risks and the suitability of Botox Cosmetic can be determined only at the time of your consultation with Scottsdale plastic surgeon Dr. White. All procedures have some degree of risk, but major complications are rare.
